Welcome to the WH Saunders & Frank Wareham Charity

We look after 22 residential units located at 2 sites in Bournemouth, providing accommodation to around 26 residents. The Charity is also responsible for managing its finances which support our work, new outreach projects and the maintenance of our residential properties.

Our primary mission is to provide affordable community housing, where residents can continue to live independent lives in comfortable and safe homes, with support available where necessary. 

We are registered with the Regulator of Social Housing and the Charity Commission (Charity Number 227364). We are also members of The Almshouse Association. 

Our Properties

Studies have shown living in an almshouse can boost the longevity of its residents by as much as two and a half years compared to their counterparts in general population.
